ParentPay and Cashless Catering are coming to St Gregory's!

Cashless Catering - Update 19th June 2009

Our Cashless Catering system is now up and running and we are pleased that it has gone fairly smoothly;  hopefully you will agree that the benefits of greater security, more control over your child's spending and shorter queuing times are worth having. We hope that we will shortly be able to introduce a nutritional analysis module as part of this exercise - so that you will be able to see information about your child's diet whilst at school.

As is often the case there have been one or two glitches and we have worked closely with the software providers to sort them out.  One area where the school has caused a problem for some students was the level of the default daily spending limit.  This was set at £2.50 per day and parents were asked to set a different limit if they wished.  It has become clear that this figure was too low as many parents have called to change it.

As a result we have reset the limit to £3.50.  This change only applies to students whose parents have not already contacted us to change the limit - so if you had set £3 or £4 that will remain the limit.  You can, of course, still call the school to request a different limit if you feel that £3.50 is too high or low.

We will continue to keep the limit under review but in the meantime if you have any queries about this, or more generally about the Cashless Catering operation, please contact Alan Cox the Bursar on 01892 527444 or via email

Unifrom and Cashless Catering
We recently wrote to all parents telling you about ParentPay - a secure online payment system which enables you to make payments into school for trips, uniform and other activities as well as for school catering.  We hope that you have logged on using your password.

We are pleased to say that in June we will be working with a local company, MH Systems, to introduce Cashless Catering.  We will be writing to all parents shortly giving more information about the benefits of this system.
