Discipleship
Statement of Intent
In the Discipleship curriculum, we share with students the understanding that they are made in the image and likeness of God (wonderfully made, unique, special) and, in coming to an understanding of their innate self-worth, students will appreciate that they deserve to live life to the full. Students will encounter Christ and understand what it means to be a disciple of Christ by exploring their gifts and talents to find their vocation and realise their God-given potential.
The Discipleship curriculum will provide a diverse and exciting range of opportunities which seek to inculcate in students a sense of awe and wonder. Students will reflect on how they approach the opportunities in their lives and will be equipped with the resources they need to capitalise on these opportunities, along with key focuses on communication, resilience, leadership and working within our community.
By participating in the Discipleship curriculum, students will model the words of Jesus in John 13:35 that, “everyone will know that you are my disciples and that you love one another”.
