Annual Certificate Evening acknowledges accomplishments
At the end of last term, we had the privilege of hosting our annual Certificate Evening to congratulate our Summer 2024 A Level and GCSE students on their accomplishments and present them with their exam certificates. It was wonderful to be able to personally acknowledge the hard work and determination these students showed during their courses and throughout their time at St Gregory’s.
During the evening, recognition was also given to three students who were selected as winners of the St Gregory’s ‘Special Awards’:
- Caitlin - who is currently in Year 12 - was presented the Tim Wilkin Award for Highest Achievement at GCSE
- Former student Drew - who is now studying Economics at Newcastle University - was selected for the Rosemary Olivier Award for Progress in Sixth Form
- Patryk - who is also currently in Year 12 - was honoured with the Joseph Sheehy Award for Achievement in RE
Extra acknowledgement was also given to George (currently in Year 8) for his recent win at the National Diversity Award as a ‘Positive Role Model for Disability’. Deputy Mayor of Tunbridge Wells, Councillor David Osborne recognised George’s fantastic accomplishment and presented him with a certificate and a special gift on behalf of Tunbridge Wells Borough Council.
We were delighted to be joined by our Chair of Governors, Mr David Lain, and KCSP CEO Annemarie Whittle for these celebrations. Many thanks also go to former student and Actor/Musical Director & Arts Manager, Mr Laurie Denman-Puller who was our Guest Speaker for the evening.
