  • Student plays Cricket in Oman

    Thu 03 Nov 2022

One of our Year 10 students, has just spent a week on a cricket tour to Oman playing in the Under 15s with her club 'The Mote CC'.

Abi had an amazing trip playing 3 matches (two T20s and a 40 over day/night match) and played well in all three games. In the 40 over match, she scored 21 runs. Her bowling figures were 3 overs, 1 wicket for 12 runs and she also took a high catch in difficult conditions under floodlights. All three games were played in 35°C temperatures, which was a first for the squad. She was the only girl playing in the squad of 12.

Her parents said 'It was a fantastic experience for her and her team including a trip to a mosque and the souq (local market). They also went on a boat trip and managed to see turtles, several species of fish, and were lucky to see a large pod of dolphins.

She will have great memories from her trip to Oman'.
